Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues in the body. It uses firm pressure and slow strokes to alleviate chronic tension, muscle knots, and areas of pain or discomfort. By breaking up adhesions and improving blood flow, deep tissue massage promotes relaxation, improves mobility, and relieves symptoms associated with conditions like chronic pain, sports injuries, and repetitive strain injuries.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a therapeutic massage technique that involves long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular motions applied to the superficial layers of muscles. Its primary goal is to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, and improve circulation throughout the body. Swedish massage incorporates techniques such as effleurage (long gliding strokes), petrissage (kneading and lifting of muscles), and friction (rubbing across muscle fibers). It is well-known for its soothing and rejuvenating effects, making it an ideal choice for stress relief and general wellness.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic healing technique that is based on the belief that specific areas on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to organs and systems within the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, reflexologists aim to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Reflexology is commonly used to alleviate stress, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being. It is a non-invasive therapy that can be a gentle yet effective way to address various health concerns.

Sleep Massage

Unlike some more energising styles, sleep massages use slow, long and gliding strokes to activate your parasympathetic nervous system. They’re best booked close to bedtime, and typically involve calming massage oil blends incorporating lavender, clary sage and chamomile essential oils.

Urban’s at-home Neom Sleep massage also includes an optional guided meditation to help you focus on your breathing and mentally visualise parts of your body becoming more relaxed.

Body Wrap

A body wrap – also known as a ‘body cocoon’ or ‘body mask’ – is a spa treatment created to enhance the health and appearance of the skin, and/or reduce body measurements on a temporary basis.

It involves the application of a nourishing oil or mineral-rich formula to the limbs and torso before they are wrapped in cotton, mylar bandages or a plastic film.

While most wraps are performed on the entire body (minus the face and genital area), some – such as cellulite and bust wraps – are applied to certain areas alone.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is believed to help mobilize blood flow, promote healing, and relieve pain and inflammation in the body. During a cupping session, the cups are placed on specific points of the body and left in place for a few minutes. The suction from the cups draws the skin and underlying tissue upward, which may result in temporary discoloration or bruising known as “cupping marks.” Cupping therapy is often used to treat muscle pain, soreness, and tension, as well as respiratory issues and certain skin conditions. The marks from cupping therapy typically fade away on their own within three to seven days.

Wood Therapy

Wood Therapy is an effortless and efficient way of contouring the body without harming the skin or tissue. The wood elements come in different sizes and shapes and each Wooden instrument has a specific use for a particular area of the body. Wood Therapy helps fight cellulite on the body leaving it silky and smooth. Wood Therapy will tone, reduce, mold, and eliminate stored fat in different parts of the body.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is focused and systematic, targeting muscles that are used in a specific sport. It uses various techniques to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery, as well as improve overall range of motion and flexibility to support safe and effective movement.

A sports massage therapist can assist with training, rehabilitation, and pre- or post-performance goals. While often sought by elite and amateur athletes, sports massage can also be beneficial for anyone who regularly exercises.
